The true cost of having compulsory photo ID to Vote.

Amendment 55 of the Elections Bill which is the Government’s proposals to introduce compulsory photo ID at polling stations. The Government’s impact assessment suggests that making the changes proposed in relation to compulsory photo ID may cost as much as £230 million over 10 years, with a best estimate of £150 million. But the truth is that we do not really know. 

Should there be compulsory photo ID at polling stations, or should we have more police officers, doctors and nurses?
