In 2017, an agreement was made in order to limit the size of the House of Lords to 600 members and its size capped at this number. This would establish a maximum size of the House of Lords and link its composition to general election results.
The government is likely to increase its spending limits on parties in general elections by a massive 69%. This is therefore raising alarm as there is an increasing concern over the amount of donors being introduced into the House of Lords.
